Be a part of Downtown Greensboro’s event on July 13

(Greensboro, GA-June 22, 2012) All Greene County community organizations are invited to be a part of Downtown Greensboro’s summer event, “Pickin’ on the Greene”.

Greensboro’s first annual “Pickin’ on the Greene” will take place from 7-10 pm on Friday, July 13 with headliner The Packway Handle Band and special guest Pullin’ Strings.  The free event will showcase historic downtown Greensboro as Americana and Bluegrass tunes fill Main Street. Read more »

Saturday, May 12th, starting at 7:00 p.m., a Spring Concert featuring musical hits of ADELE will be presented at Lake Oconee Lutheran Church. Under direction of Brad Rudisail, three soloists, choir and ensemble, and a string quartet will perform a variety of songs. The program of this concert will be unconventional, yet quite appealing and entertaining, with an emphasis on creativity and originality. Read more »

We may have lost an hour with "spring forward " daylight savings but we, in my opinion, gained the best part of the day....the evening.  I write this post from my iPhone on the back porch.

For the most part, the air is still, aside from the occasional cool breeze.   Its my favorite time of day.  There is a problem though....it is tiny, has strength in numbers and resembles an unstoppable rebel force. It's pollen. Read more »
